The Ingram family was presented with the East Gippsland Shire Council-sponsored Special Recognition Award at the East Gippsland Business Awards 2019.
Mayor Cr Natalie O’Connell had the pleasure of presenting the award, which recognises a family which has made a significant and sustained contribution to the East Gippsland economy.
For those who may not know the Bonaccord story, the business evolved from humble beginnings in 1960 to now being a major contributor to the East Gippsland economy, having grown from the initial 54 acres to the current 3,000 in vegetable production.
Bonaccord also owns approximately 45 trucks, providing freight services for themselves and other producers. Approximately 22,000 tonnes of produce is moved off the farm annually, 80% of which goes into NSW, with the remainder going to Victoria, South Australia and Queensland.
Up to 260 people are employed during peak production to produce, harvest, package and transport the final product.
The Ingram family is a deserving recipient of the Special Recognition Award.
